Welcome, vejn!

Our mod will certainly take inspiration from TES V:Skyrim, but we're not aiming to reproduce it exactly - it would be very boring to copy Bethesda's work. Since our Skyrim is going to be bigger in scale than TES V, there will be lots of room for cities and settlements. You might like to look at some screens of one of the newest cities in the Reach, Karthwasten; there are lots of pictures here - http://praedatorsnest.blogspot.co.uk/20 ... final.html

Of course, it would be dull to look already seen, but it would be great to have this visual immersion.

We are using a lot of information about Skyrim that was present before the release of TES V (nearly a year ago now!). You have to remember that our mod is set nearly 200 years before the events of that game. In the real world, 200 years ago it was 1812 - and I can imagine that most cities nowadays don't exactly resemble their counterparts back then :D

The work our exterior guys have done is top-notch. You need not worry about our mod lacking immersion!

Hello Vejn,

there are quite a few differences between the Skyrim in TES V and our version of Skyrim around here. Mostly because our project has already been running for a while when TES V was released. Though, we've been incorporating a lot from TES V since.

The biggest differences you are going to see everywhere around The Reach. Markarth, for one, will not be a dwemer fortress as it is in TES V, but it will contain the College of the Voice omitted in TES V. And like wild_luxray presented, our version of Karthwasten is anything but a three-house-village.

Our version of the Reach is marked by the ruinations of the War of Bendr'Mahk, and the ancient ruins of the highelf-clans of Highrock (mentioned in the 1st pg long before anything was known about Dwemer in Skyrim).

However, that doesn't mean we won't have Dwemer in our Skyrim. We'll have them mostly based around the Velothi Mountains and possibly further inland.
Currently we are also working on getting the barrows and creatures from TES V into our Skyrim. I also believe that the Windhelm in TES V will be a rolemodel to our version of Windhelm. Of course we'll also have High Hrothgar and other locations that are essential to the province.

Are we going to implement Blackreach in some way?

Thanks guys.
Some underground cities and forests would be nice to see. I doesn't have to be Blackreach, block by block.

When I meant Skyrim feel, I thought of all the visual detail which represent cold winter. For Morrowind this will be another feel. Storm and hard raindrops, old graves, telvanni towers,
huge mushroom like trees, icy waterdrops....
Skyrim also has compact feel of a world. Every approach to new town has their own characteristics.

As long as there is no reason not to include a location from TES V, we should have it.

Wow, those Highelf ruins look really cool in-game. Where exactly is that particular ruin located, Woras?

I've got the screenshot from Lestat. I think it is located next to Scamps Mesa.

Possibly, depends on whether he uses grassy boulders in the area, since I was only using the ones with dirt on top of them.
