Ha, yes. Nice to see your all at it. And Tes96, i don't do any modding any more, although iv been thinking of getting back into it. But I dunno really. I just kinda feel I need to sort out shit for you guys first. Some of you may have noticed that the old site is up and running. I want to see what I can do for you all. I feel bad for appearing to run off on you, although it wasn't intended. I was being cut in two and having my intestines stitched back together

By the Hoarfather, that's awful! You must have had an endoscopy done on you then. I pick up records from our endoscopy department every night where I work.
I've seen you posting over at BSF Morrowind modding section. Didn't you release something or work on something in the past? Or did I see you in the Fanfiction/roleplay section?

By the Silver Caverns, what exactly is a heightmap?! Is it the limitation of how high Player can travel upwards or downwards? Or is like an actual 3D map like what Vality made?

I made up the Silver Caverns, I had to have it as a sig.

And I am very very scary, why does nobody understand that?

A map of great height, the ultimate way to reach the top, plant your flag and have a nice sandwich, once back down again and drink a beer or two, you will sleep like an ox....

Perhaps because your signature is a poorly drawn scamp. :geek:

A heightmap is basically just the basic terrain for a whole landmass generated by a special program for that purpose. This makes it a lot easier to work on a huge amount of terrain because modders do not need to raise land themselves in the Construction Set, just having to edit the existing terrain generated before.
Plus, with this heightmap generator you can make the landmass use exactly the shape it's supposed to have. I do not know about the entire process and how to make heightmaps, but I know that a well-made heightmap is extremely valuable for a province mod like Skyrim - Home of the Nords.

wasn't supernaut working on that on the beth forums. I for one would love to have the whole continent rendered in my game. even if there is not a single static on 99% of it.

Supernaut = SGMonkey, unless you're a bethsoft moderator, in which case I'm just kidding.
